Position: Full-Time SEMH Teacher
Location: Resource Base Attached to a Primary School
Start Date: September
Hours: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday
Pay: MPS3 – UPS3
About the Role: We have been approached by a resource base attached to a primary school seeking a specialist SEMH teacher to join their team. This full-time role involves working in a resource base that caters to primary-aged pupils with SEMH needs. The base comprises two classes, serving a total of 17 pupils, ensuring a supportive and manageable learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Delivering tailored educational programs to meet the unique needs of pupils with SEMH
2. Collaborating with an additional teacher and four Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to maintain a staff-to-student ratio of approximately 3:8
3. Creating a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment that promotes students’ academic and personal growth
4. Implementing and adapting lesson plans to address individual learning styles and needs
5. Providing ongoing assessment and feedback to support student progress
Requirements:
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
2. Experience working with children with SEMH needs
3. Strong understanding of primary education and SEND practices
4. Excellent communication and teamwork skills
5. Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive educational environment
