About the Role: KYP Manager
MarTrust Corporation Limited (‘’MarTrust’’) is an Authorised Payment Institution, regulated by the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority (“FCA”), that provides payments solutions and services focused on the maritime industry. This function manages Know Your Partner (“KYP”) processes including new Partner Onboarding and Partner Reviews. It is the key element in a smooth onboarding and reviewing of Corporate Customers, ensuring the processes are as efficient as possible however in line with the policies and procedures.
Your Day-to-Day Will Involve:
* Ownership of the KYP on new Partners, Partners ongoing review and monitoring.
* Deliver all projects and achieve goals and MSCs given by the Compliance Operations Manager
* Assist the MLRO, the Risk Manager and the CCO in continuous risk assessment, control evaluations and complete remedial actions in relation to financial crime risks with respect to new and existing customers and their behaviour.
* Ensuring KYP process are conducted effectively and in line with the agreed policy, to demonstrate MarTrust’s commitment to perform KYP in accordance with applicable laws and regulations and industry standards.
* Ensuring Partner Reviews are conducted effectively and in line with the agreed policy, to demonstrate MarTrust’s commitment to perform on-going monitoring of partners information by reviewing the collected/required partner information, re-assessing partner risk and conducting the required screening and research on the partner.
* Providing sufficient Management Information (MI) with respect to KYP to the Compliance Manager, MLRO and/or CCO on a regular basis and upon a request.
* Ownership and regular review/updates of relevant procedures/SOPs to ensure that these documents are up to date and in line with the latest policies/instructions from the MLRO and/or CCO.
* Providing staff training and adjusting training content accordingly to ensure identified gaps identified during the testing and monitoring are closed.
* Involvement with senior tasks and assistance to the manager required to ensure smooth running of Compliance Operations Functions.
* Attendance of Meetings with internal and external auditors in order to assist the Compliance Team in presenting KYP processes.
* Assisting with other processes owned by the Compliance Team as and when required.
Qualifications We’re Looking For:
* Bachelor’s degree in risk management, finance, business or related field.
* ICA Diploma in Compliance
* 3 Years proven experience in KYP and EDD within FinTech in the UK and ideally in Portugal
* Demonstrated track record of developing and implementing KYB Policies and Procedures in fast changing environment.
* Oral and written communication - excellent communication skills, is able to explain complex risk terms in business language – in English.
* Change management – communicates clearly and manages change effectively.
* Organisational awareness – knows how to get things done and gain commitment.
* Credible – able to hold senior colleagues to account.
* Ability to quickly absorb, analyse and interpret data including root cause analysis and escalate to the MLRO/Compliance Officer.
* Technical knowledge – understanding of the UK regulatory environment, Payment Services Regulations, PSD2, money laundering and data protection rules and regulations.
