Brook Street Social Care are proud to be supporting a local service who are providing specialist support for people with a learning disability or mental health condition across Liverpool.
We are currently recruiting for a Team Leader to support with a brand new complex and specialist care service within their organisation based in Knowsley, Liverpool.
The role:
As the Team Leader, you will be managing resources to successfully deliver safe, high-quality complex care services to the people they support.
To develop staff skills and knowledge in delivering high quality services that are designed and delivered to meet the needs of individuals, and to apply the tools of person centred planning, review and team development, embedding a quality assurance framework at a service level.
To follow the principles of person centred approaches in all areas of operation
To be responsible for assessment, planning, monitoring and reviewing of individual support
To lead and manage staff to ensure that the highest levels of performance and standards are achieved and maintained at all times
To ensure that staff skills, gifts, qualities and strengths are put to best use
To manage the recruitment of staff
To ensure staff training and development needs are identified and met, liaising with the Clinical, PBS and Autism teams as appropriate
To ensure that all internal and external reportable events are appropriately managed and resolved
Work with the complex care teams to deliver what is important to the people they support and what they want for the future, actively supporting individual outcomes
Demonstrating the principles of person centred practices
Acting as a positive role model and coach to the complex care teams
Be required to be actively involved in out of hours support as part of an on call rota
To be successful within this role, you must:
Have excellent management and leadership skills and be able to confidently manage a large team
Have excellent experience working within a similar highly complex needs setting with complex behaviours and complex autism
Flexible when working with on-call and rotas
Hold a full UK driving license with access to own car
Hold a Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
Holds a Level 5 NVQ or be willing to work towards

Annual Leave: 33 days per annum (includes bank holidays). Annual leave accrues with service up to an additional 5 days.
