Electrical Project Manager – Water Industry

A leading contractor operating within the water sector is currently seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to support the delivery of key infrastructure projects across the region. This is a permanent opportunity with a well-established business that prides itself on quality, innovation, and safety in all aspects of project execution.
Location:
Office based in Harrogate with regular site travel required across the Yorkshire area. Applicants must be fully commutable to the Harrogate office as this is predominantly a site-based role.
The Role:
As Electrical Project Manager, you will take full responsibility for the successful delivery of electrical and MEICA (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control, and Automation) works, from concept through to completion. You will work closely with project delivery teams, engineering leads, and commercial managers to ensure objectives are met on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the electrical aspects of water infrastructure projects, ensuring all work meets required specifications and industry standards.
Provide technical input and direction on electrical design and installations.
Liaise closely with operations and design teams to ensure cohesive and efficient delivery.
Carry out risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to address any project challenges.
Monitor project spend in collaboration with the commercial team.
Act as a key point of contact for stakeholders, maintaining positive relationships and ensuring regular updates on progress.
Manage resources effectively, supporting the team to meet deadlines and safety requirements. Key Requirements:
Proven track record in project management roles, preferably within water or utilities.
Relevant qualifications – Degree in Electrical Engineering, Prince2, AMP or equivalent.
Current certifications – Black CSCS Card, SMSTS, CompEx, Full UK Driving Licence. Ideal Background:
We are looking for someone with a hands-on background in electrical project delivery within the utilities or infrastructure sectors, ideally with experience in the water industry. An EICA background would be highly advantageous
