As a Neurological support worker you will be joining the community Neurology service that is supportive and dynamic. You will be responsible for supporting patients and the service across East Dorset. We welcome ideas of change that could contribute to creating a better service for people living with long term neurological conditions.
You will be supported by Neurological specialist therapists including occupational therapists, physiotherapists and a team lead. We offer CPD opportunities, regular supervision and peer supervision.
We could be flexible with how the hours are met over the working days, as long as the services needs are met. We embrace flexible working and we support a hybrid model of working from home as well as the office., The support worker will work within community neurology service to support clients who have a long term neurological condition living within the community.
The job holder will be expected to work alongside professionals providing assistance during joint assessments.
The job holder will also have independent contact with clients and/or carers once care has been prescribed.
They will support, monitor and provide interventions to clients and their carers, within their own home and/or their local community.
Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.
