Trainee BMS (Building Management System) Engineer

Our capabilities include the complete life cycle of a BEMS system. This includes in-house design and software engineering, manufacture, installation, and commissioning and then maintenance of London’s landmark commercial buildings.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Trainee BMS (Building Management System) Engineer to join our established software team.
As a junior team member, you will work closely with experienced engineers and various departments to help deliver smart, safe, sustainable, and healthy efficient, reliable BMS software solutions for intelligent buildings.
You will have the opportunity to work on some of London’s leading-edge developments, learning about the world of HVAC, lighting control, intelligent building networks, cloud-connected edge devices and IoT technology.
You should be able to demonstrate a passion for engineering, building management, IT and be eager to learn and develop new skills within a supportive, collaborative environment.
While some prior exposure to controls or software principles is beneficial, we primarily value the willingness to grow and adapt.
This role is based on site in our Coulsdon office, with occasional travel to customer sites in London.
Unfortunately, at this time we are currently unable to offer sponsorship, and you must be able to demonstrate right to work in the UK.
We are located within walking distance of Coulsdon train station.
Skills
* a desire to work in an engineering and building management environment
* basic IT competency and some interest in software development
* basic understanding of IT networks, IP-based systems, and cloud technologies
* sound working knowledge of office tools Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, Outlook
* relevant technical training / qualifications are advantageous
* familiarity with common network protocols advantageous but full training given
* basic Understanding of Internet of Things (IoT) / smart technology
* willingness to undertake training to achieve a CSCS card to work on building sites
* An electrical background would be advantageous
