Requirements:
I am looking for candidates with experience in C or C++ (at least one of these is essential), as well as exposure to Ada and/or JavaScript and shell scripting languages. You should possess a solid background in software engineering. Experience in configuring, securing, and maintaining Linux Operating Systems (Redhat and/or Ubuntu), including Kernel configuration and testing, is critical. A passion for software engineering, coupled with the ability to innovate and think critically to solve complex software problems, is essential. I value candidates who are open to developing their software skills through both on-the-job training and formal education. Knowledge of software design differences between Real-Time Operating Systems and Hypervisors would be beneficial. You should feel comfortable working collaboratively within a team, contributing to design and implementation decisions, and providing support during integration. Additionally, prior experience in developing software for Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) hardware is desired, as well as comfort in working with target system hardware.
Your responsibilities are:
As an Embedded/Middleware Software Engineer, you will be part of a dedicated team responsible for developing middleware solutions that support advanced missile system technology. Your role will involve working on technology at the forefront of European missile system design, delivering safe, secure, and reliable products. You will be tasked with Linux Operating System migration, configuration, and security solutions implementation. You will deal with a broad spectrum of problems from hardware drivers to web services, offering you the unique opportunity to engage in various aspects of software development. You will be involved in multiple applications across land and maritime projects, allowing access to some of the most advanced missile systems globally, across diverse warfare domains.
