The CFO is responsible for the MCAPS Finance function across Africa. Reporting directly to the CFO/ GM of MCAPS Central Europe, Middle East and Africa (CEMA), this role is part of the MCAPS CEMA finance leadership team making key decisions around people, business processes and business performance.
This role is the key business partner for Africa General Manager (GM) and forms part of the Africa leadership team accountable for delivering Africa-wide business results whilst operating within Microsoft company policies and local laws. You must create a clear financial strategy for the primary countries in Africa that aligns with business goals and drive results consistent with the goal.
A key deliverable for the CFO is to build organizational capability with strong succession plans inclusive of diverse talent. To be successful in this role, you must be able to attract, hire, develop and retain the very best finance talent from the market as well as internally from within Microsoft. You must be able to prioritize your time and that of the finance team to drive tangible business impact by building and implementing business strategies to accelerate profitable growth whilst also ensuring the finance team delivers core processes and rhythms across the Africa business.

Responsibilities
1. People Leadership: People Management: Hiring & Succession planning: Performance management
2. Personal Leadership: Drive Area MCAPS LT interactions and Finance discipline, improvements
3. Business Insight: Identify key growth opportunities and align resources within the region to maximize long-term sustainable growth. Remove business blockers and maximize investment & execution around key business levers
4. Partner across all areas of finance to ensure deep understanding of each country's FX framework and support the management of on-time cash collection
5. Controls and Compliance
6. External Personal Leadership
7. Business Excellence: Overall responsible for integrity of Area budget and target process for MCAPS revenue and P&L & Monthly financial rhythms
Qualifications
Minimum Required Qualification
1. Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND extensive experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR
2. Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND extensive experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR equivalent experience.

1. Experience managing direct reports
