The successful candidate must be able to support the class teacher in addition to working with individuals and small groups of children. Through doing this they will assist children with their learning, enabling them to achieve the work set by the class teacher and deliver intervention and support programmes. Experience of working in a school is desirable but not essential as support and training will be put in place for the successful candidate. You will: be positive, patient, kind and caring be flexible and enthusiastic in their approach to the children's and school's needs have high expectations of children's behaviour and achievements possess good literacy and numeracy skills (at least GCSE Grade C/4 or equivalent) demonstrates a high regard for safeguarding procedures demonstrates initiative and the ability to communicate well with teaching staff, pupils and parents.
