Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 4 Therapy Support Worker to join our inpatient Medical and Health Services For Elderly People (HSEP) Team working on the inpatient wards at Barnet Hospital.
We are looking for individuals who demonstrate an energetic, enthusiastic, and flexible approach to their work, who have knowledge and practical experience of working in health care. The ability to work well with all members of the multi-disciplinary team is essential.
Main Duties of the Job
The clinical areas covered by the Medical HSEP team are fast-paced, and the successful candidates should therefore be forward-thinking and pro-active with excellent organisational skills. You will work autonomously as well as with Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists in undertaking assessments to facilitate safe discharges and providing rehabilitation in the acute stages through to discharge planning and implementation. Excellent communication skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure are also required.
The successful applicant will be required to work 37.5 hours a week within a 7-day service. Flexible working arrangements may be considered if raised at interview.

About Us
The successful applicant will be joining an experienced multidisciplinary therapy team of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Dietitians, and Therapy Support Workers, supported by a Clinical Lead Therapist and an Advanced Frailty Practitioner. We are a very friendly, welcoming, and inclusive department where staff wellbeing is a high priority.
