Your new role
As our new Commercial Manager, you will be part of the Ramboll Transport commercial team in the UK & Ireland. You will join a supporting and collaborative culture and environment, allowing you to develop and grow in your role. You will also work alongside other commercial teams from other Markets and geographies.
In this role, you will be involved in managing the commercial aspects of the projects within the Transport Market Business Unit, both in the bid and delivery phases. Your responsibilities will include advising on commercial and cost issues, administration of contracts, and ensuring adherence to Ramboll processes and procedures. You will actively be involved in the day-to-day commercial administration of professional service contracts, helping the business maximize opportunities and mitigate risks.
Your key responsibilities will be:
* Preparing estimates for professional fees, inputting cost information into internal estimating systems, and producing reports using cost modelling tools.
* Preparing tender, pricing, and contract documentation and conducting commercial analysis of accepted tender conditions to identify risks and opportunities.
* Monitoring and reporting on commercial aspects of projects, identifying issues early to ensure responsible management and timely resolution.
* Managing commercial aspects of the change process in collaboration with the Project Manager, inputting into project forecasting through the EWN and Compensation Event processes.
* Supporting the project team with finance reporting, including cost forecasting, cost to complete, gross billing, and earned value, providing robust cost analysis feedback to line management.
About you
* Relevant Higher Education level qualification.
* Working towards a professional qualification.
* Excellent knowledge and experience of estimating, valuation, and cost reporting (budget management).
* Experience with Project Controls and Project Management tools and techniques, including change management.
* Familiarity with programming tools and techniques.
* Experience in working within a commercial environment, preferably within a built environment engineering consultancy or contracting organization.
