Buying & Merchandising Product Supply (3)
Technology is making advances to our business in just about every conceivable way. However nowhere is it more apparent than in helping us to grow our online business. We’re investing in it because more and more of our customers want it.
Waitrose.com is delivering over 1.5 million Waitrose & Partners products and items nationwide, making it the fastest growing online grocery business. So far, we’ve managed our Waitrose.com deliveries through a number of London branches and our Customer Fulfilment Centre in South Coulsdon. This has 80,000 square feet of picking space, and it’s equipped to deal with thousands of orders every week and over one million orders a year from customers.
This state-of-the-art facility houses a redesigned fleet of vans with on-site access to repair services and refuelling. Ultimately this is helping to increase the number of deliveries, maintain frozen food for longer, enhance route efficiencies and cut transport costs. Due to the increased capacity, we are able to provide an even greater level of service to our customers.
Join our CFC and you’ll be helping to deliver this exceptional customer service that we’re renowned for in-store, online and into our customers’ homes. You’ll also help us to meet the strong and ongoing demand for Waitrose & Partners products and value throughout London.
