Keane Premier Healthcare are seeking a proactive Maintenance Assistant to join our team, providing essential support across our care home group.
In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for ensuring that sites are maintained to the highest standards, performing routine maintenance tasks, minor repairs, and addressing any issues that arise promptly to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for our residents, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on the facility's infrastructure and equipment.
2. Conduct safety inspections to identify and address potential hazards.
3. Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and residents.
4. Maintain accurate maintenance records via digital platforms.
5. Provide exceptional customer service and support to residents and their families.
6. Be knowledgeable and confident in carrying out various areas of maintenance work.
7. Identify hazards, defects and the need for adjustment or repair.
8. Document and report maintenance issues.
9. Ensure full compliance with all Legal Legislation- Health & Safety, Fire Safety, Agreed Codes and Working Practices.
10. Conduct Daily, Weekly and Monthly Auditing with Corrective Action Planning.
11. Immediately report issues or failures that impact legal legislation or service level.
12. Liaise with Care Home Manager and Contractors.
13. Work in a fast-paced environment while completing tasks within specified time limits and to a high standard.
14. Meet targets and contribute to team goals.
15. Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
16. Possess good communication skills.
17. Have experience with digital records and maintenance software applications.
18. Must have a driving license and be able to drive.
19. Professional qualifications along with previous experience in a care setting are desirable.
20. Transport residents via Care Home Minibus.
Qualifications:
1. Proven experience in a maintenance role, preferably in a healthcare or care home setting.
2. Proficiency in basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and general maintenance tasks.
3. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
4. Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
7. A compassionate and caring attitude towards residents.
