Job description:
We are looking for a Senior Quality Control Inspector to join the Team at our Silverstone facility. This role involves executing quality inspections on both composite and metallic components, ensuring that our high standards are met consistently. As a member of our dynamic team, you will play a key role in driving Quality Assurance processes while supporting a culture of continuous improvement.
Principal Accountabilities:
* Lead and perform detailed dimensional inspections as well as in-process and final inspections on components and assemblies.
* Utilize various measurement and testing equipment, including CMM's, Portable Arms, calipers, micrometers, gauges, and visual inspection techniques.
* Record inspection results and data in compliance with quality assurance standards and procedures.
* Identify and document non-conformances, supporting corrective actions and follow-up as necessary.
* Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve quality-related issues and improve supply chain processes.
* Support the development of inspection plans and quality-related documentation.
* Support production teams in troubleshooting quality issues during manufacturing and assembly, supporting corrective actions, swiftly and effectively.
* Train and mentor junior inspectors, sharing knowledge of quality processes and best practices.
* Support and deliver training programs and resources to help improve team skills and performance.
* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and quality audits.
* Lead initiatives to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the quality control processes, including identifying and implementing process improvements in inspection workflows.
Requirements
* Minimum of 8+ years of experience in quality control/inspection within the motorsport or manufacturing industry.
* Proven experience using Polyworks, PC-DMIS software, utilising Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs), Portable Arms and Trackers
* Strong understanding of quality assurance principles and industry standards.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
* Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to producing high-quality work.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide and mentor a team of inspectors.
* Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
* Experience with ERP systems and documentation practices is a plus.
* Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Positive attitude and contribution to an open and inclusive culture.
