Nature of the role:
We are a service provider for Local Authorities, providing semi-supported accommodation to 16-18 year looked after children. Due to expansion we are now seeking a Supported Accommodation Manager in the South West area.
The candidate will ideally live in the South West and will be skilled, dynamic and committed to working with a range of professionals within Children & Young People’s Services / Semi-Independent and the care leavers Supported Accommodation sector, this will include working with the local authority and voluntary sector. The Supported Accommodation Manager will also have experience and knowledge of Ofsted Regulations and Standards.
The manager will provide advice and guidance to the team offering reflective supervision and take a lead role in the support and development of the wider team and the service in line with the organizations mission statement, vision, value and ethos in achieving the best possible outcomes for the young people we support and other stakeholders such as our workforce and commissioners. We want you to inspire us and have a real impact on the way we work.
The ideal candidate will have a proven record of excellent practice skills across the sector and to join our management team undertaking a pivotal role in our journey to achieving 'good' regarding OFSTED. You will need to have the aptitude and values to lead services, ensuring that vulnerable children and young people we support receive the best possible service.

Post Title: Youth Support Worker
Hours of Work: Full-Time
Monday to Friday: 10.00 am to 6.00 pm (30-minute break)
Remuneration:

* £22.425 - £24.375 Per Annum (Dependent on experience and

Nature of the Role:
* Support young people leaving care to develop their skills, confidence and self-esteem.
* Deliver an effective and flexible service for the young people in partnership with local authorities and relevant agencies.
* Ensure the young person is prepared for independent living when turning 18.
* You will be managing a case load of at least 15-20 young people across various locations and will conduct visits and support the young person with their needs.

/Skills Required
* Candidate MUST have NVQ (QCF) LEVEL 3 or above in Social and Health Care.
* MUST have 12 months experience of working with vulnerable young people.
* MUST have a Full, clean UK driving license. Must have been driving for two years and must be able to drive a manual car.
* UP-TO-DATE DBS preferred. Company will apply for right candidate
* Computer literate – Outlook, Word and Excel
* Excellent organisational, communication and report writing skills
* The ability to work independently and in a team
* Good time management skills
* Flexibility with attitude and shift patterns
* Confident and competent in supporting clients with challenging behaviour
* Empathetic individual, who will relate to our service users
* Someone who can absorb and process information effectively
* Can conduct a schedule of visits across a range of geographical locations with a case load of at least 15 young people.
* Manage their own time and case load effectively
* Interact with and engage our young people.
