We are excited to offer a rewarding opportunity for a compassionate Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join a highly regarded special school in Cwmbran. This role is perfect for individuals passionate about supporting children with diverse learning needs in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
- Learning Support: Work closely with the class teacher to deliver personalised educational plans for students with special educational needs.
- Care and Well-being: Provide personal care and emotional support as required.
- Engagement: Help create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment that promotes active participation.
- Communication: Build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents to ensure effective collaboration and communication.
- Resource Preparation: Assist in preparing classroom resources and materials.
- Monitoring Progress: Track and report student development and flag any concerns to the teaching team.
- Experience: Prior experience working with children or young people, particularly within SEN settings, is highly desirable.
- Understanding: Knowledge of different types of SEN and strategies to support diverse needs effectively.
- Skills: Strong communication, patience, and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility: A caring, adaptable approach to supporting students in achieving their potential.
- Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or SEN support are beneficial but not mandatory.
