KS1 Teacher Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging and creative lessons that meet the needs of all learners in KS1. Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress, ensuring all children are supported to reach their full potential. Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes a love of learning. Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of diverse learners, including those with SEND and EAL. Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and the wider school community to ensure high standards of teaching and learning. Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding their child’s development and progress. Contribute to the wider life of the school, including participating in school events, trips, and extracurricular activities. KS1 Teacher Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and effective teaching strategies. A passion for supporting young learners and a commitment to their academic and personal development. Excellent classroom management and communication skills. A reflective practitioner who is committed to ongoing professional development. A collaborative, team-oriented approach with a positive and flexible attitude.
