Due to an ever-growing order book, and continual research and development projects, we wish to recruit a Mechanical Engineering Fitter Forman to our team. As a Working Foreman, you will play a dual role, combining hands-on involvement in the work with supervision and leadership responsibilities. The successful candidate will work as part of the Implementation Team, who are responsible for the manufacture and assembly of our Mushroom harvesting equipment. The role also includes working with the Design Team on R&D projects to further our current product range, bringing new products to market. The successful candidate must be willing and able to travel, internationally, as required, depending on the project and customer site location. Main Responsibilities Daily Supervision and management of team activities ensuring efficient workflow and productivity Communicate clear instructions and guidance to team members on tasks and safety requirements Manufacture and assembly of Axis Harvesting systems Installation, commissioning and maintenance of systems on customer sites (Internationally as required) Post installation customer support and troubleshooting Work with Design Engineers and contribute to streamline the assembly of machines Liaise with the R&D team to refine and extend our product range Participate in R&D projects, contributing to the design, production and testing of new products and concepts Essential Skills and requirements A commitment to maintaining a safe working environment Permanent eligibility to work in The United Kingdom Willingness and ability to travel Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Precision engineering experience Read detailed engineering drawings for manufacture Experience in sheet metal/ stainless/ aluminium fabrication Maintain technical specifications Demonstrable relevant expertise Ability to improve products or services by applying professional knowledge Strong attention to detail Good organisational and time management skills Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills Ability to build, install and commission our current products Trouble shooting and problem-solving skills Work on own initiative and as part of a team Overtime as required to meet project deadlines An awareness of general Health and Safety regulations At least 2 years proven ability to supervise and lead engineer fitters Hold a full UK driving license Desirable skills and requirements Electrical engineering CAD Drawing and Solidworks Modelling experience Welding and Fabrication experience (stainless, TIG, MIG, Manual Arc etc) Qualifications and Experience: Relevant certifications or qualifications in an engineering field Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineering Fitter in a similar environment Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities Good communication and teamwork skills Skills: Engineer Mechanical Engineer CAD drawing Solidworks MIG TIG Hours of work Monday to Thursday 8am 5pm Friday 8am 1pm Hours / days may vary when on site installation Job Type- Full time, Permanent If you are interested in the above position, please submit your CV and a member of the team will be in touch Disclaimer - The stated salary range is a guideline only.
