Leading dedicated teams of Support Workers, we are looking for an energetic and confident Service Manager who will also be supported by an Assistant Service Manager.
Reporting to the Area Operations Manager, you’ll be accountable for the people management and development across the service teams. Cultivating a positive team culture, ensuring your services are a great place to work, acting as a role model assuring a high-quality provision of support to people. This is a key role in guaranteeing the quality of our service delivery and ensuring that we are always improving. As our lead contact in this area and you will be self-motivated and determined, you should have a passion for positive change and the confidence to make difficult decisions under pressure.
The services range from a two-person service in Canvey Island, two supported living services in Leigh on Sea and one service in Southend on Sea. Our Canvey Island service has two individuals who we support and is a two-bedroom property. In Leigh on Sea, we have two services, one of the services is a 4-bedroom bungalow with an upstairs individual one bedroom flat and we support five individuals, and the other service is a three-bedroom house where we support three individuals. Our service in Southend on Sea is a three-bedroom bungalow where we support three individuals. Support needs range from supporting independent living skills to more complex behaviour and health needs. The base is flexible; however, you would be expected to have a presence across all services.
Strong leadership is key to the success of our services. We want to recruit leaders who can demonstrate they have the potential to excel within our team orientated workplace. Having strong interpersonal skills will be essential for this role with the ability to build effective relationships with a diverse team of staff and the people we support.
