About the job you are considering
Here at Capgemini, we are looking for an experienced SAP Manufacturing Supply Chain Solution Architect to oversee complete SAP S4 and Cloud Platform solutions.
You will have in-depth expertise in Supply Chain Management, specifically manufacturing in machinery, automotive, aeroplane or transport industry sectors.
The role requires you to act as the primary contact for the technology solution with the client’s senior leaders and stakeholders. Working with a team of senior Engagement Managers, technical architects and sales/delivery people, you will represent Capgemini with Analysts, Clients and with other partners.
You will have experience with leading distributed teams to scope, scale, design, build and test solutions that are then deployed globally.
Strong awareness of business requirements met by functional solutions, which include SAP as well as third-party products.
Hybrid working: The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.
Your role
Key Responsibilities:
1. Discrete Manufacturing implementation experience (production planning/execution of machines/cars/planes/trains more often than not with configurable BoMs and Routings,).
2. Leading key design decisions, based on your functional expertise in at least one of the following:
3. Product Definition – an Engineer who understands how product data flows from Engineering into in-serial Production/Manufacturing. E- and M-BoMs, Routings, Engineering Change Management. Demonstrable experience of delivering an SAP based solution that sits between upstream CaX/MBSE/PLM (Dassault ideally) solutions and downstream Manufacturing Execution.
4. Inventory/Logistics/Transportation – inbound, inline (production shopfloor) and outbound warehouse, shipping and transportation management.
5. Product Costs/Manufacturing Management Accounting – someone with Finance background, primarily Controlling. Capable of helping through complex problems associated with Project Accounting (not just for Engineering to Order (ETO) scenarios), configurable Product Costing solutions and complex inter-company transfer pricing (using SAP’s Group Valuation concept).
6. SAP Supply Chain and IBP solution architecture definition and providing delivery oversight.
7. Supporting SAP Supply Chain and IBP sales growth targets, whilst developing and expanding our go to market strategies and approaches.
8. Be responsible for addressing a portfolio of target clients, working with relevant industry sector leads and account executives to proactively grow Capgemini’s opportunity pipeline.
9. Being a leading contributor to our global network of SAP Centres of Excellence, liaising with counterparts across Europe and North America to coordinate go to market development.
10. Analyse, shape and lead pursuit responses for SAP Supply Chain and IBP opportunities. This will include analyzing requirements, solutioning, estimating and developing winning proposals.
11. Delivering compelling and confident presentations across client pursuits and external/ internal SAP activities to further develop our prominence in the SAP Supply Chain and IBP market.
12. Developing trusted relationships across client stakeholder groups, key partners such as SAP and key internal groups such as industry sector leads.

Your skills and experience
13. Commitment, flexibility, thought leadership and a drive and interest to expand your knowledge in new technologies and industry focus, through training and research to develop your career within the SAP SCM team and the wider Capgemini Group.
14. You will be comfortable with managing complexity and ambiguity and giving clear advice and leadership to internal and external teams.
15. You have a passion to work with our clients, advising them on how to get the most out of their SAP technologies
16. You will have a depth of consulting and functional experience of working across SAP Supply Chain business processes; both in the digital core and wider applications
17. You have a track record of leading pursuits for SAP Supply Chain and IBP opportunities, from initial relationship building through to successfully closure and delivery of the solution.
18. Industry and business process knowledge in one or more of the following sectors: Aerospace and Defence, Machinery, Automotive, Transport or Discrete Manufacturing
19. Knowledge of the strategic direction of SAP and related products and how to architect those into leading supply chain solutions.
20. A strong understanding of the SAP market and competition will be a clear advantage, as well as an ability to help shape a deal and manage it successfully through internal processes.
