About the Role
In the role of Vacant properties Officer, you will contribute towards the efficient and effective management of the turnaround of Temporary Accommodation and emergency accommodation that HOST use for homeless households by ensuring that the desired property standards are met when new households move into the accommodation.
You will undertake, either solely or as part of a small team, the cleaning of void properties and designated areas within Trafford’s homeless family’s unit to ensure they are kept in a clean condition.
You will also have responsibility of cleaning the dispersed temporary accommodation properties when they become void and carrying out minor repairs and decoration, in a timely manner, will be held within this role.
About you
We want someone with experience of cleaning properties and/or communal areas who also has additional DIY experience such as hanging doors, changing handles, fixing cupboards with the ability to paint to an acceptable standard.
You should also have experience of using Microsoft outlook and Word, alongside a willingness to learn and undergo training specific to the job.
We want someone who is methodical in approach, able to follow instructions and provide a high quality service/standards of work.
You should have effective verbal and written communication skills and be self-motivated and organised with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
You must have a full driving license for this role as you will be expected to drive a company van to and from properties.
