Main duties of the job
An exciting secondment opportunity has arisen for an experienced practitioner to become part of community services and become a key player in the transformation agenda. As a Clinical Lead, you are expected to have a sound knowledge of the transformation programme and the NHS long term plan and use this to support the teams through the transformation process. You will provide high-quality expert clinical support, supervision, and guidance to staff within the team.
The post holder will participate in developing evidence-based practice within the service. It is expected that the Clinical Lead will drive best practice and continuous improvement including embedding new and innovative practices. The post holder will have excellent management and leadership skills and advanced knowledge of both adult and older adult mental health problems.
As part of this role, you will be expected to complete the Non-Medical Prescribing qualification.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
* A relevant Social Work, Nursing or Allied Health Professional degree-level qualification or equivalent experience
* Current registration with a nationally recognised professional body relevant to the qualification held
* Minimum 5 years post-registration experience
Desirable criteria
* Masters level qualification or equivalent short courses and/or experience
* Teaching qualification or significant experience
Knowledge & Expertise
Essential criteria
* Excellent communication skills
* Proven ability to challenge current practices and implement evidence-based recommendations
* Knowledge and ability to implement local and national policy direction relevant to practice
* Experience of clinical audit and facilitating staff in this area
* Experience of moving staff through the change management process
* Effective clinical leadership with knowledge of leadership theories
* Relevant clinical expertise to support and facilitate clinical development
* Sound information technology skills
Experience

* Experience in developing professional roles
* Managing projects demonstrating ability to implement change
* Understanding and experience of clinical and corporate governance
* Facilitation of reflective practice for staff
