The Role An opportunity has arisen for a skilled IT Engineer to join a technical team providing support and services to customers across the Midlands. This role involves working on various operating systems and hardware, supporting customers via a help-desk, and delivering on-site assistance when required. A strong focus on customer service and effective resource management is essential. The position involves a mix of office-based and onsite work, with occasional out-of-hours support. Key Responsibilities: Support Microsoft 365 & SharePoint deployments, migrations, and admin. Manage Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, and Group Policy. Configure and maintain SharePoint Online (structure, permissions, workflows). Support cloud solutions (Azure, AWS) and migrations. Maintain virtual environments (Hyper-V, VMware). Troubleshoot networking (TCP/IP, VLANs, L3 routing, LAN/WAN). Deploy & manage WatchGuard firewalls and VPNs. Implement backup & disaster recovery (VEEAM, N-Able, Backup Exec, Altaro). Manage email security (ESET, WatchGuard) & branding (Exclaimer, CodeTwo). Assist with network cabling & infrastructure. Requirements: In-depth knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration, including SharePoint Online, Exchange, and Teams. Skilled in managing SharePoint permissions, workflows, and document organization. Practical experience with WatchGuard firewall configuration and management. Solid understanding of networking concepts, including VLANs, Layer 3 routing, QoS, ACLs, and VPNs. Experience working with virtualization technologies such as Hyper-V or VMware.
