Project Engineer Location: Norwich, Norfolk Job Type: Full-time, Monday to Thursday 8am-4.45pm, Friday 8am-12.30pm Salary: £45,000pa Reed Engineering are working with an amazing engineering company who are seeking a dedicated Project Engineer to join their Projects department in Norwich. This role is pivotal in acting as the main point of contact and internal driver for planning and organising resources, resolving issues and ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget and to business requirements. Day-to-day of the role: Take ownership of projects from the receipt of the tender file from Sales staff through to project completion. Serve as the main focal point for all communication between the customer and operations. Proactively monitor project progress, liaising with all stakeholders to ensure smooth execution. Ensure accuracy in all order entry forms and business system entries, identifying and correcting any errors. Generate and monitor project programmes based on Manufacturing/Engineering information, report progress to customers as required. Organise and attend both internal and customer meetings, including for progress reviews and witness testing. Resolve any contractual disputes with customers. Maintain Project Status Reports, highlighting deviations from budget to relevant Managers. Report any perceived shortfalls in product or services promptly to enable corrective action. Required Skills & Qualifications: GCSE Grade C or above in English & Maths (or equivalent). HND or Degree in Engineering or a similar applicable field. Relevant experience in a similar Project Management role, with a desire to further develop in this field. Commercial awareness of the oil and gas & Defence Industry. Understanding of Project Management Principles. Excellent communication skills at all levels of the business, with strong written and verbal communication and well-developed interpersonal skills. Good organisational skills with the ability to multitask. Meticulous attention to detail with a proactive approach and the ability to use own initiative. Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively. Desirable: Project Management Qualification (e.g., Prince 2) and experience in an engineering manufacturing environment.
