This Clinical Skills role was created in order to provide support to our newly Qualified Nurses, our International Recruits, our Healthcare Assistants who are working towards Nursing Associate roles or even Registered Nurse. Main duties of the job The Clinical Skills Lead will provide education, training, support and development to staff in line with the agreed training and education priorities set at Care Group and ward/dept. level and in response to identified needs of team/individual. The Clinical Skills Lead will be key in the development of a sustainable workforce and will lead the design, delivery and evaluation of learning resources and training programmes/events for the back of house areas within the care group. The role will have a particular emphasis on the development and promotion of clinical skills training, preceptorship and apprenticeships and practice development to ensure staff are able to deliver outstanding care to patients and maintain safe working practices. The clinical skills lead will have close links with the similar roles within EAU and ED teams. The Clinical Skills Lead will design and develop programmes to support newly qualified/new into post professionals transition from student to qualified practitioner and establish support for those completing Care Certificate, staff who are advancing into Band 4 roles and subsequently then into RN posts.
