£26.38 per hour for day shifts
£32.47 per hour for nightshifts
Treloar's is a charity which runs one of the UK's largest specialist education centres for young disabled people to live and learn. Through our school and college, we offer students the opportunity to fully take part in life and achieve their aspirations. We are rated Outstanding by Ofsted and CQC.
As a bank nurse you will join a large enthusiastic team of nurses, working with hundreds of staff to support up to 170 children and young adults with physical disabilities to access education in our specialist school and college. We are well supported by our Senior Nursing Team, Medicines Management Team, MDT, onsite GPs and Safeguarding Lead. We have immense job satisfaction and love making a real difference to the lives of our students.
We are looking to appoint Registered Nurses with recent clinical experience, including assessment of the deteriorating patient. Applicants will need to commit to completing an intensive bespoke induction (2-3 weeks over an agreed time), and be able to offer regular shifts to remain current in practice (e.g., one per fortnight/month), ideally with flexibility for both days and nights. Our bank nurses are routinely allocated to work with permanent staff, and are rarely lone workers.
Quote from a current Bank Nurse _"The bank nurse role is different to any other bank nursing jobs I have had previously, as at Treloar's, you really are made to feel like part of the team. All staff members and students have been so welcoming and supportive since I started the position in the new year. Despite being very a different style of nursing to hospital work which I am used to, the training here has been very thorough, as well as the support from staff, safe allocation and fantastic guidelines/policies to follow"._
