Main duties and responsibilities: Providing general administrative support to fee-earners including drafting, reviewing and proof-reading legal documents Researching points of law and other factual issues and preparing reports on the same Collating, organising, uploading and managing documents in Legatics and any other online dataroom service Compiling and working through conditions precedent lists before closing and managing closing processes. Person specification Education / qualifications / experience: Law graduate with a first or upper second class degree or equivalent. Minimum 12 months’ paralegal experience or other relevant legal work experience (preferred) Experience using legal research databases (preferred) Knowledge and technical skills: Excellent IT skills, including Outlook, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel Previous legal database experience General Skills/Attributes: Highly organised and methodical approach to the role as well as confidence with IT systems Attention to detail and the confidence to work independently Willingness to travel to London as required Highly motivated and commercially astute Excellent communication skills and a collegiate, team-based attitude The ability to work to tight deadlines whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy Self-motivated, hardworking, reliable and works well under pressure Ability to work on multiple matters in parallel Key relationships: Works closely with the Banking fee earners (both Bristol and London based).
