A growing and innovative engineering business specialising in anaerobic digestion (AD) technology is looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join the team. Along with a salary of up to £45,000 per annum, you will receive a range of benefits including a company van for field-based work, private healthcare, a pension scheme, ongoing investment and training, and expenses covered for travel overnight stays.
This is a field-based role for a multi-skilled engineer who enjoys variety, practical problem solving, and getting stuck into all aspects of plant maintenance. You'll be working across a range of renewable energy sites, helping to keep critical equipment in top condition while playing a part in the UK's green energy transition.
What you'll be doing as Maintenance Engineer:
1. Performing mechanical and electrical maintenance on AD plant systems
2. Diagnosing faults, repair or replace faulty components and systems
3. Maintaining heating, pumping, and feeding systems for efficient operation
4. Following safe systems of work and keeping client sites clean and compliant
5. Completing service documentation and supporting the in-house biological team with occasional sampling
6. Travelling regularly and staying overnight where required (expenses covered)
We're looking for a Maintenance Engineer with:
1. Proven experience in industrial or plant maintenance
2. Strong fault-finding skills across mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
3. Familiarity with pumps, motors, control systems, and general maintenance tools
4. Physically fit and confident working in varied environments
5. Full UK driving licence and comfortable with national travel and overnight stays
6. Reliable, practical, and safety-conscious team player
