Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
* Assist in the setup of CNC machines, including loading tools and materials
* Develop skills to be able to operate: CNC (pyramid roller), CNC wire, XYZ CNC milling machine and CNC controlled press brake
* Observe and learn how to read technical drawings and 1.1 drawings
* Assist in monitoring the machining process and making adjustments as directed
* Learn how to perform routine maintenance tasks on CNC machines
* Help inspect finished products for quality assurance
* Assist in troubleshooting and reporting any machine issues
* Maintain a clean and safe work environment
* Adhere to safety guidelines and company policies
* Adhere to all HR policies and procedures
* When necessary, carry out other reasonable requests to undertake tasks in the furniture department and/or other areas of the business
