Role Responsibilities: As a Plant Operator, you will be responsible for: Safely, reliably, and sustainably running both upstream and downstream processes of the commercial plant. Operating a variety of production equipment, including up to 60,000L capacity vessels, valves, and pumps. Performing and monitoring fermentation and downstream processing reactions. Collaborating with the QC team for analytical testing to ensure product quality and yield. Working with process development, other production staff, and the supply chain manager for raw material supply to ensure product properties align with various applications and industries, first from the pilot and then from the commercial plant. Role Requirements: The succesfull Plant Operator will have: Experience operating pilot plant/production scale equipment (pumps, valves, vessels, etc.), preferably in the biotechnology industry. Familiarity with microorganisms, aseptic techniques, and inoculation techniques (desirable). Experience with fermentation process development and interpretation of fermentation data. The ability to take responsibility for your projects and demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively communicate with colleagues at all levels.
