We are searching for an experienced, creative and detail driven Online Retail Merchandiser to join us at Rehome, an established, ethical company that has enjoyed significant public attention and commercial success since our inception 10 years ago.
This is not a standard Retail Merchandiser role. Being a Marketplace, the majority of our products are unique, single-product listings. As our merchandiser lead, you will have the necessary autonomy in your role to be creative and make an impact. You will have direct management responsibility for our junior Merchandiser, and be ready for a career enhancing role, with the ambition to grow with our business. In return, you will receive a salary of up to £32,000 per annum, as well as a company bonus scheme and free onsite parking.
We are an award winning business, and part of the fast-growing re-commerce economy. Rehome, the Kitchen, Bedroom, Bathroom outlet is one of the UK’s leading retail marketplaces, providing a world-class, sustainability-focused platform for the sale of pre-owned and ex-display interiors. We are bold and brave, and we champion innovative services to meet the commercial and sustainability needs of our industry. Our mission is to become the ‘go to’ verb for home renovation.
As Online Retail Merchandiser at Rehome, your responsibilities will include:
E-commerce Merchandising:
Product creation via our Adobe Ecommerce (Magento) platform: managing and undertaking daily uploading and maintenance of single product listings and bulk loading, including creative product descriptions, technical specifications, images, and pricing. Ensuring a great customer journey and UX optimisation to maximise sales. Ensuring information is accurate, and adheres to brand guidelines.
Content strategy: Work closely with the marketing team to develop compelling content and visuals that enhance the customer experience and increase conversion rates across the website.
Adhering to SEO and Ecommerce best practice: Ensuring optimisation for search engines and GMC to drive organic traffic and increase visibility.
Campaign planning and implementation: Develop and execute seasonal, promotional, and flash sale strategies in alignment with business objectives with the support of the senior Marketing team.
Liaise with the Magento development team for site improvements.
Competitor analysis and applying industry best practice.
Data and Performance Analysis:
Analyse sales performance, customer behaviour, and conversion data to optimise online strategies.
Prepare reports on key performance indicators (KPIs); sales, conversion rates, and customer engagement for management review.
Management and Leadership:
Manage and develop our merchandising team. Provide training, guidance, and performance feedback.
Liaise with Marketing, Logistics, IT, Customer Services, and Business Development to ensure smooth operations and seamless customer experiences.
Assign tasks, set priorities, and ensure deadlines are met efficiently and accurately.
