The Role:
This role entails supporting the Director of Student Experience and Transition in leading, developing, and managing the strategic vision for SEND provision across the college group. You will be responsible for ensuring high-quality provision that raises aspirations and achievement for students and apprentices with SEND. This includes providing leadership and support in the development and improvement of SEND services, as well as enhancing the quality of teaching, monitoring, and student support.
As a specialist for SEND, you will play a key role in fostering student success by utilizing your knowledge of the FE curriculum, tracking EHCP outcomes, and leading a learning support team. Your expertise in safeguarding, quality improvement strategies, and building strong relationships with students, their families, and staff will help create a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
About you:
1. Full Teaching qualification (e.g., Cert Ed) or an appropriate professional qualification to Level 4
2. Management qualification or relevant experience
3. SENCO qualified status or experience working as a SENCO in an education environment
4. Specialist qualification in supporting students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities
