Position Overview: We are looking for enthusiastic and compassionate Intervention Teachers with PGCE and QTS qualifications to join our team immediately. This is a wonderful opportunity for educators passionate about making a positive impact on students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and committed to supporting young people to excel both academically and personally. As an Intervention Teacher, you will be instrumental in delivering personalised support, ensuring every student has the tools and confidence they need to succeed. Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver Targeted Interventions: Provide tailored interventions for students with SEMH and SEND, addressing their individual learning needs and promoting progress.
* Create an Inclusive Learning Environment: Foster a positive, supportive, and engaging atmosphere that encourages students to feel confident, empowered, and motivated to learn.
* Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to implement and monitor Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs), ensuring students receive the appropriate support they need.
* Monitor and Assess Progress: Regularly assess student development and adapt teaching strategies to meet evolving needs, ensuring continuous academic and personal growth.
* Community Engagement: Participate in outreach programmes that support students and their families, promoting inclusivity and strengthening community ties.
* Progress Reporting: Provide weekly updates on student progress, including those involved in outreach initiatives, to ensure clear communication and transparency.
Qualifications & Experience:
* PGCE with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
* Experience working with SEMH and SEND students is highly desirable.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
* A compassionate, patient, and flexible teaching approach, with a focus on both student well-being and academic achievement.
* Access to a vehicle is advantageous but not essential.
