Boyden has been retained to support the appointment of a UK Sales Director for a global leader specialising in the design and manufacture of advanced machinery serving a range of industries.
The Role
Our client is committed to driving growth and aims to strengthen its leadership team with the appointment of a new Sales Director specialising in OEM Sales.
The Sales Director will be responsible for leading OEM sales, operating a direct sales model in the UK and distributor model in Ireland. They may take some ownership of key accounts and significant customer relationships, but the priority role is setting the strategic direction, driving and developing team performance and empowering the dynamic sales team to maximise their potential.
We're searching for candidates with:
* Demonstrable experience in B2B capital equipment sales of high-value complex machinery.
* Demonstrable leadership attributes, with previous experience in enhancing sales team performance.
* Relevant competence developed with a leading (ideally international) player within a B2B systems context. Specific sector experience is not mandatory.
* Experience with Salesforce and SAP platforms and analytics (or equivalent tools) would be beneficial.
* Technical background highly beneficial, allied to commercial expertise and customer focus.
* First class communication skills.
* Strong analytics, project management, multitasking, and decision-making skills.
* Dynamic, creative and curious.
* Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organisation and across departments.
* High drive toward execution and meeting deadlines.
