As a Project Manager, you will plan and deliver projects from inception through to completion. Provide effective Project Management and strong technical knowledge to deliver a diverse range of projects varying in challenge and complexity. Be committed to working in a role that both develops and refurbishes buildings with a view to providing a positive effect on patient, staff and visitor experiences at the Trust.
Manage the Capital planning, the Estates team, the Capital Projects team and wider divisional team in the delivery of projects and achievement of performance and business objectives, with responsibility for specific tasks and actions.
Ensure that the portfolio of tasks and projects is planned, managed and delivered effectively.
Support and inform the targeting of resources, monitoring, implementation and evaluation of the tasks and projects by providing high quality support including complex information and analysis, communications and stakeholder management.
Making sure all aspects of project planning and management achieve the project outcomes in terms of quality, cost and time.
Lead projects and take direct responsibility for aspects of larger schemes as agreed with the Capital planning and project management lead.
Responsible for the consistent implementation and development of project support and governance processes including project finances, scheme programming and compliance at each stage of project management.
Quality Control: Ensuring that construction or renovation work adheres to the highest quality standards and complies with all relevant regulations and specifications.
Inspections: Conducting regular site inspections to verify that work is being carried out according to the approved plans, designs, and standards.
Documentation: Maintaining detailed records of all site activities, including progress reports, inspection reports, and any issues or discrepancies encountered.
Compliance: Ensuring that all construction activities comply with health and safety regulations and NHS Trust policies, particularly those related to infection control and patient safety.
Communication: Serving as a liaison between the construction team, contractors, architects, engineers, and the NHS Trust. Communicating progress, issues, and resolutions effectively.
Problem Resolution: Identifying and addressing construction issues promptly, recommending solutions, and working with relevant parties to resolve any disputes or challenges that may arise.
Reporting: Providing regular updates and reports to NHS Trust management and stakeholders regarding project progress, budget adherence, and any deviations from the original plans.
Cost Control: Monitoring project costs and expenditures to ensure they stay within budgetary constraints.
Risk Management: Identifying potential risks and hazards associated with construction activities and taking proactive steps to mitigate them.
