Our client, a structural, civil and Geoenvironmental company based in Milton Keynes, is looking for an Associate Director / Geoenvironmental Engineer to work from their office with hybrid working options. This opportunity would help accelerate an Engineer's career by looking after a well-established team within a continuously growing environment and will be rewarded with a competitive salary circa £70k as well as 25 days holiday, flexi working, and Life insurance.
This Associate Director / Geoenvironmental Engineer will create and drive the vision for the Geo Environmental department within the company. Projects include Phase I Desk Studies and Phase II Ground Investigations for both residential and commercial developments as well as landfill extension sites.
Associate Director Geo-Environmental Position Overview
1. Leading the Geo-Environmental team of a Principal, Senior and Graduate Engineer.
2. Working to design standards in accordance with British Standards, Eurocodes, CIRIA, BRE, NHBC, etc.
3. Implementing internal QMS procedures and ensuring all designs comply with the company's internal checking protocols.
4. Coordinating, supervising, and actively engaging with clients.
5. Offering innovative designs and design documentation.
6. Overseeing the tender process, producing precise contract documentation.
7. Full project management of projects of all sizes including commercial delivery of projects, ensuring timescales and budgets are met.
8. Inputting into the preparation of fee proposals and developing associated site investigations scopes.
9. Leading the site investigation process from concept (proposals) through to completion.
10. Undertaking coordination with other professionals and contractors as appropriate.
11. Mentoring of less experienced members.
Associate Director Geo-Environmental Position Requirements
1. Completion of Degree in relevant Engineering subject.
2. Minimum 10 years' experience working in a similar engineering consultancy.
3. Chartered geologist, Engineer, or Scientist.
4. Commercially aware, and able to actively attract and develop business opportunities.
5. Proficient in the use of software such as technical design packages including SlopeW (or similar), Holebase, etc.
6. Proficient in foundation design and recommendations, earthworks, slope stability, and contaminated land risk assessment including remediation, DQRA, etc.
7. The ability to lead a team of engineers and technicians.
8. Full driving licence and use of a car.
Associate Director Geo-Environmental Position Remuneration
1. Salary £55k + (dependent on experience)
2. 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays
