Job Summary
We are recruiting for 2 full-time positions for 37.5 hours and 1 waking night position for 30 hours.
Do you enjoy walking, cooking, crafting, or going to the theatre? Your skills and life experience could be a great match for our support worker role. All you need is a willingness to learn, flexibility, a can-do attitude, and a desire to help someone live a full life!
The support you provide will be centred around each person’s values, preferences, and needs, which could include developing daily living skills, accessing a wider community, personal care, and medication needs.
No day is ever the same. Full training to gain the nationally recognised Care Certificate will be provided, along with ongoing training and career development, including professional qualifications.
We also offer a contributory pension, cover the cost of DBS checks, and provide planned rotas in advance.
Access to Wagestream allows you to track your basic salary and additional earnings throughout the month, and stream a portion of those earnings before your monthly pay date. You can also access a range of financial support and advice and save directly from your earnings.
Shopping discounts are available, including Blue Light card, EE perks, and Costco membership. Successfully 'recommend a friend' to join us and you'll receive a thank-you payment. Access to wellbeing helplines and a Health Cash Plan is also provided.
You will:
1. Have good communication skills
2. Have a positive and patient approach
3. Be resilient and respect people’s differences
4. Be able to build professional relationships
5. Work well as part of a team
Your responsibilities:
1. Empower the people we support to live the lives they want to lead
2. Develop daily living skills
3. Support the people we support to access their communities for socialisation, employment, training, or friendships
4. Contribute to, develop, and implement the individuals' care plans
5. Communicate effectively and professionally with the people we support, their family members, and external professionals
6. Maintain the health needs of the individuals we support
Please note: If you are NOT a passport holder of the country for the vacancy, you might need a work permit. Check our Blog for more information.
