Key Responsibilities: As a Residential Property Solicitor, you will be responsible for: Managing a varied caseload of freehold and leasehold transactions, including sales and purchases. Advising clients on remortgages, transfers of equity, and equity release schemes. Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, leases, and transfer deeds. Conducting thorough title investigations and resolving title defects. Managing the conveyancing process from instruction to post-completion. Advising on lease extensions, lease variations. Carrying out property searches and due diligence, including reviewing survey reports. Managing Land Registry applications and dealing with requisitions. Liaising with estate agents, mortgage brokers, surveyors, and other third parties. Preparing reports on title and mortgage offers for clients. Advising on property-related SDLT (Stamp Duty Land Tax) and tax implications. Ensuring all transactions comply with anti-money laundering (AML) regulations and risk assessments. Supporting the firm’s business development initiatives. Maintaining excellent client care and communication, providing regular updates on transactions. Requirements: To be considered for this role, you must have: Qualified Solicitor (NQ to 3 years PQE) with experience in residential property law.
