Salary: Up to £55,000 (DOE) | Hybrid Working Available
Are you an experienced Private Client Solicitor seeking to advance your career in a leading law firm? Our client, a prestigious and well-established firm in Leighton Buzzard, is looking for a skilled Private Client practitioner with 5-6 years PQE to join their growing Wills, Trusts, and Probate team.
About the Role
This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a team renowned for its exceptional client care and commitment to high standards. You will collaborate closely with the Head of Department and other team members, delivering high-quality legal services across a wide range of private client matters.
You’ll play a pivotal role in the department, handling a varied caseload including Wills, Probate, Estate Administration, and Trusts. The role also involves advising on complex, high-net-worth estates, making it ideal for someone with advanced technical expertise looking to take the next step in their career.
Key Responsibilities
1. Advising on inheritance tax and estate planning, including agricultural and business property reliefs.
2. Drafting Trusts and complex Will provisions to meet clients’ bespoke needs.
3. Managing estate and trust administration, including HMRC returns for probate.
4. Handling Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs) instructions and registrations.
5. Delivering proactive and detailed advice on tax reliefs applicable to trusts and estates.
6. Contributing to marketing initiatives and supporting the firm’s growth objectives.
About You
To excel in this role, you will have:
1. 5-6 years PQE as a qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with substantive Private Client experience.
2. STEP qualification/accreditation (advantageous but not essential).
3. Exceptional client care, communication, and team collaboration skills.
4. Strong technical expertise in Wills, Trusts, and complex estate administration.
5. A commercial mindset and confidence in networking and business development.
6. Proficiency with case management systems and Microsoft Office.
