Core Responsibilities Include: Phlebotomy and venepuncture Wound care, dressings, and general practice skills Health promotion and patient education Chronic disease management (Asthma, COPD, Diabetes, CHD) Administration of immunisations including childhood, flu, travel, and Depo injections Family planning support including pill checks, coil checks, and contraception reviews Health assessments, screenings, and long-term condition reviews Blood pressure, ECGs, and blood glucose monitoring Cervical smear tests and breast awareness guidance Essential Skills and Competencies: To thrive in this Practice Nurse role, you'll need to demonstrate competence and qualifications in: Diploma in Asthma and COPD Certificate in care and treatment of patients with chronic disease Qualifications in Diabetes, Respiratory Medicine, or coronary heart disease (or equivalent experience) Cervical cytology (smear-taking), contraception, and travel health Confident use of clinical systems: SystmOne, EMIS, Adastra, Vision, or Odyssey You’ll be joining a dynamic and supportive community of healthcare professionals.
