SUMMARY OF JOB
Responsible for providing quantity surveying and cost management services for civil and structural engineering projects from inception to completion and handover of projects.
Beneficial to have project management experience but not essential.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage the cost management element for the delivery of works, including the provision of commercial support to the design and client teams.
Preparation of bills of quantities and schedules of work for pricing
Involvement in tender stage activities such tender reviews and development of procurement plans
Prepare Pre-Tender Estimates
Provide accurate values of works undertaken.
Prepare and monitor the submission and approval of design, specification and cost estimates information
Attendance at project team meetings, site visits and client consultations
Operation of procedures in accordance with the firm's Quality System
Project Management / assisting the project management team in project deliveryPERSON SPECIFICATION
Qualification Chartered Quantity Surveyor: Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors or Society of
Chartered Surveyors Ireland Experience
A minimum of 5 years post graduation experience.
Knowledge of and experience in NEC and Public Works contracts.
Experience in other forms of contracts desirable.
Knowledge of Quality Assurance systems and quality management.
