Duties and Responsibilities:
Client Ownership:
* Creates, maintains, and develops relationships to sustain client interest and growth. Successfully leads and influences team members in the delivery of cloud ERP projects.
* Works with enterprise-level (LE) customers to ensure business is properly contracted, providing clients with absolute clarity over service levels and ensuring revenue targets and profitability margins are met.
* Manages WBS codes, estimates, purchase orders, and free-of-charge (FOC) days in alignment with company business processes and systems.
* Makes informed and reliable decisions in complex environments and solves problems using broad knowledge and experience.
* Identifies opportunities and provides strategic support to help clients navigate change and transformation within their organizations.
* Ensures changes to project scope are controlled and agreed upon with the client via proper change request management.
* Builds trust in complex customer relationships, acting as a bridge between the company and clients while enhancing the company's reputation for excellence.
* Promotes a cloud-first mindset with customer stakeholders and implementation teams.
Project Delivery:
* Manages scope and expectations, ensuring adherence to company engagement delivery guidelines and methodologies.
* Delivers cloud ERP projects on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards, leveraging agreed tools for consistent and transparent project reporting.
* Proactively identifies and manages risks while communicating progress to stakeholders.
* Maintains strict change control practices that balance commercial objectives with customer satisfaction.
* Reports project progress and RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) status weekly to the Director of PMO practice.
* Establishes and enforces quality standards, leveraging applicable tools and measures to reduce or minimize risks.
* Embraces a cloud-based approach to project delivery, avoiding legacy methodologies where possible.
People Management and Development:
* Develops technical and soft skills to maintain status as a respected and trusted advisor in a competitive market.
* Mentors and supports project team members, contributing to talent management and team development programs.
* Assists with onboarding, orientation, and training of new employees to support team integration and development.
Utilisation and Revenue:
* Achieves revenue targets while maximizing utilization of resources.
* Manages a portfolio of client projects to mitigate operational risks, including resource deployment and financial considerations.
* Identifies and outlines project resource plans to meet personal and organizational utilization goals.
* Escalates discussions to maximize opportunities and drive additional business revenue.
* Minimizes unplanned FOC days to protect project margins.
Project Methodology and Organisation:
* Defines the optimal cloud ERP delivery approach using company standards and organizes projects independently.
* Provides clear input to the project team on procedures, requirements, and responsibilities.
* Plans projects with respect to people, costs, and deadlines.
Contract Management:
* Understands complex contracts to track content related to project costs and benefits.
* Applies and enforces change request processes effectively.
Communication and Leadership:
* Inspires confidence and leads by example, serving as a role model for the project team.
* Handles conflicts constructively and maintains focus on project goals, even in challenging situations.
* Effectively communicates and resolves project issues with key stakeholders, including C-level executives.
Risk Management:
* Identifies project risks and implements measures to minimize or avoid them.
Business Development:
* Builds business networks, focusing on generating follow-up and new business opportunities.
* Supports pre-sales activities, including creating and delivering presentations to C-level audiences.
Required Skills / Abilities:
* Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, including 6 years in cloud ERP project management and at least two end-to-end public cloud ERP implementations (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, Oracle ERP Cloud, Workday).
* Successful delivery of at least 10 full project lifecycles for large projects (>2,000 person-days).
* Certified in project management methodologies such as PRINCE2, Agile (Scrum), or equivalent.
* Experience with industry-standard ERP project management tools.
* Proven ability to deliver projects in industries such as discrete manufacturing, wholesale, consumer products, or professional services.
* Demonstrated expertise in project reporting, quality assurance, and managing multiple large projects (£2M+ value).
* Strong commercial awareness and ability to manage project finances effectively.
* Willingness to travel frequently to client sites across the UK, with flexibility to work away from home when required.
