Technical Engineer
Pay: £55-£60 per hour
Location: Gatwick (on site)
Shift Pattern: 5 on 5 off, 4 on 5 off, 7am to 7pm

Introduction:
The Technical Engineer is the point of contact for Boeing's production staff at London Gatwick during the preparation and execution of customer maintenance inputs. This is a rotating 12hr Day Shift position based at our London Gatwick Hangar facility.
Responsibilities:
* Triaging and executing suitable resolutions to technical queries in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with regulatory and company procedures, which may include dealing with OEMs and customers.
* Representing the Gatwick team at all required customer meetings, and working closely with the Production Planning Team to ensure deliverable plans are driven to execution.
* Acting as a key point of contact for customer technical representatives to ensure customer requirements are satisfied.
* Playing a key part in the development and implementation of new procedures and project work in support of continued improvement.
* Providing technical assistance for Boeing's Line and Base maintenance operation at London Gatwick.
* Providing an escalation path for all technical queries at any supported Line or Base maintenance at London Gatwick.
* Providing liaison support between customer and/or CAMO during maintenance activity.
* Performing technical assessments of customer-provided work scopes to ensure requests fall within capability and applying technical expertise to consider likely challenges including required skills, tooling, access requirements, NDT, etc.
* Overseeing the transcribing of customer/CAMO maintenance data into approved work packs.
* Ensuring all supplied data from customer/CAMO is accurate.
* Communicating with OEM/Type Certificate Holder if required on behalf of customer.
* Working alongside production planners to aid the planning and execution of maintenance inputs.
* Assisting Production Planning during periods of sickness and leave.
* Monitoring compliance through sampling.
Required Qualifications:
* Previous experience within a Base Maintenance / Modifications Technical Services role is highly desirable.
* Previous experience of using the AMOS system is preferable.
* Prior experience of accessing online Boeing documents through myboeingfleet.com.
* Ability to interpret technical drawings/documentation.
* Previous experience with major structural and/or avionic modification inputs is desirable.
* Experience working with 737, 787, and/or 777 aircraft is preferable.
* Hold an EASA Part-66 B1 and/or B2 Licence and/or Aircraft Engineering Degree.
