Role Summary:
The Maths Teacher will deliver an engaging and challenging curriculum to students at Key Stages 3 and 4, helping students build strong mathematical foundations, problem-solving skills, and critical thinking. The teacher will design lessons that cover essential mathematical concepts, prepare students for exams, and support each student’s individual learning needs.
Responsibilities:

Teaching and Curriculum Delivery:
* Plan and deliver high-quality maths lessons for students in KS3 (ages 11-14) and KS4 (ages 14-16) that align with the national curriculum.
* Cover core mathematical topics including algebra, geometry, statistics, and arithmetic, and introduce concepts that lay the groundwork for advanced study.
* Use a range of teaching methods and resources to engage students of different abilities and learning styles.

Student Support and Development:
* Identify individual learning needs and provide targeted support, including one-on-one help when necessary.
* Encourage a growth mindset, resilience, and perseverance in tackling challenging mathematical problems.
* Foster a positive classroom environment where students feel safe to ask questions and are motivated to excel.

Administrative Duties:
* Keep accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress, and prepare regular reports for parents and guardians.
* Participate in department meetings and collaborate with colleagues to develop and improve the maths curriculum and resources.
* Adhere to school policies and standards, including safeguarding and classroom management protocols.
4.
Professional Development:
* Stay updated on changes in the maths curriculum, assessment methods, and teaching techniques.
Key Requirements:
* Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or a related field; Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is required.
* Experience: Prior teaching experience at KS3 and KS4 levels is preferred.
* Skills:
* Strong communication, presentation, and classroom management skills.
* Educator who can inspire students to appreciate mathematics, guiding them through key learning stages and supporting their journey to success in exams and beyond
