Job Description: Technician Up to £40,151 per annum 18-month FTC Onsite - Arlington Your new role Supports & carry out all production related activities across ACER, Paint, FTR and acceptance required to deliver the correct number of units on time as per the delivery plan. Assist in development of new technicians to the project. Record any testing carried out and test results as per stipulated processes and analyse results to establish whether result indicate a pass/fail result, act on results accordingly. Prepare units to undergo project ACER. Bogie part replacement, yaw dampers and associated part replacement. Full completion of tasks responsibilities to SOP, QCP and Quality standards. Monitor, control and minimise waste and housekeeping. Work collaboratively with colleagues, creating a positive working environment within the team that harmonises with Hitachi Company values. Contribute to building a culture of sharing best practice across the team. Support all activity related to training others including design and delivery of training. Share knowledge and experience with others in the team. Assist others with building their skills and experience, including delivering training to e.g. people in other roles, less experienced or new colleagues. Continually promote and support the Hitachi culture within the team. Act as an effective team member amongst peer group of technicians. Act as a role model within the team with Hitachi values and behaviours. Deputise for Team Leader when required. Clear communication to section leader, escalating issues by exception. About you Experience within an Operational Railway Environment would be advantageous. Knowledge & understanding of SRIs, SRPs. Attention to detail and the determination on quality standards are essential personal attributes. Ability to interpret SOPs, QCP, instructional documentation. Qualification or previous experience in a production/manufacturing environment. Crane or lift experience Qualifications Educated to NVQ Level 3 in a relevant engineering discipline.
