We are seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our busy Haematology team. The successful candidates will be working closely with the Consultants, nurses, and other members of the Multidisciplinary team supporting them to work clinically by undertaking the non-clinical elements that are required to support efficiency of the workplace.
The successful candidates will provide an essential support service to the efficient running of the Reception in the Haematology Unit. They must have the ability to work as part of a team as well as being able to work on their own initiative. They must have a good level of computer skills, be able to communicate effectively and work well under pressure. The highest standard of data quality input is required at all times.
The successful candidate will be required to liaise with and offer support to all members of the team to ensure tasks are carried out in a prompt and efficient manner keeping patient experience at the forefront. A flexible approach and willingness to work across different areas within the department as and when required is essential. The successful candidate will have the ability to work under pressure and be self-motivated.
Responsibilities:
1. Booking in of patients attending Same Day Emergency Care onto the hospital computer systems (camis, symphony, and spreadsheet).
2. Liaising with Health care professionals and booking in patients on arrival.
3. Receive and deal with telephone messages, as required.
