SEMH Teaching Assistant
Location: Grantham, Lincolnshire
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 15:30 (Term time only)
Pay: £85 per day, with opportunities to increase
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? We’re looking for a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as an SEMH Teaching Assistant in Grantham.
Responsibilities:
* Support students across all age groups with SEMH needs in a school setting.
* Assist in classroom activities to ensure all students can engage and succeed.
* Effectively manage challenging behaviour and foster a positive learning environment.
* Work closely with teachers and staff to implement tailored support plans.
* Encourage students’ emotional and social development, building their confidence and independence.
Qualifications:
* Experience working with children with SEMH needs or challenging behaviour (preferred).
* A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to support students effectively.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with staff and families.
* A passion for education and supporting young people to overcome challenges.
