We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Site Manager to join our passionate team and oversee the day-to-day management and maintenance of our school site. Role Overview: The Site Manager will play a key role in ensuring that the school environment is safe, secure, well-maintained, and conducive to learning. This is a hands-on role with responsibility for the upkeep of the premises, including buildings, grounds, and facilities. The successful candidate will manage the premises team and liaise with external contractors to ensure compliance with health and safety standards. Key Responsibilities: Oversee and manage the maintenance and repair of school buildings, grounds, and facilities. Ensure that all health and safety regulations are adhered to and maintain a safe working environment for staff, pupils, and visitors. Conduct regular inspections and routine checks on the school premises, identifying and addressing any maintenance issues. Manage site security, including key holding, locking and unlocking of buildings, and overseeing visitor access. Coordinate and manage external contractors for specialist services such as cleaning, catering, and repairs. To assist in managing the site team, providing training and support to ensure high standards of work. Maintain a clean, clutter-free environment for pupils with additional needs, ensuring that facilities are adapted as required to ensure accessibility. Oversee grounds maintenance, including gardening and outdoor spaces to provide safe and stimulating areas for the children to enjoy. Skills & Experience: Experience in site management, facilities management, or a similar role. Knowledge of health and safety regulations and site management practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, children, parents, and contractors. A proactive approach to problem-solving and maintenance issues. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Experience working in an educational or special needs environment (preferred but not essential). The ability to work between Elleray Park's 2 sites when needed.
