Job Title: HR Manager Location: Birmingham Salary: Up to £55,000 per annum Job Type: Full-time, Permanent About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HR Manager to join our client's dynamic team in Birmingham. This role will report to the HR Business Partner and provide support to the Head of HR where appropriate. The ideal candidate will have union experience and be CIPD qualified with over 5 years of experience at the HRM level. Key Responsibilities: Serve as the primary HR contact for the business area, collaborating with the HR Business Partner to implement people strategies. Address and resolve tactical HR issues, ensuring policies and practices are consistently applied. Facilitate development opportunities and initiatives arising from talent management activities, in partnership with L&D. Provide support on pay and reward activities, including gathering and preparing information for cyclical processes. Promote and uphold company values and behaviours within the team. Offer practical advice and guidance on employee-related matters, ensuring compliance with policies, legislation, and people strategies. Manage employee relations cases, such as absence, performance, flexible working, and maternity, with support from senior HR levels for complex issues. Assist ER Advisors in handling disciplinary and grievance cases. Foster strong relationships with key internal stakeholders. Oversee the impact of people-related issues stemming from key change decisions, ensuring respectful and appropriate delivery. Drive business change and continuous improvement by supporting HR initiatives. Utilise MI Reports to identify trends and patterns, and escalate issues to the HR Business Partner. Participate in HR projects focused on specific initiatives. Provide accurate workforce and headcount planning information to the HR Business Partner. Maintain and develop HR policies and process maps in line with company standards. Support the effective use of performance management systems. Ensure smooth execution of transactional HR activities. Facilitate effective communication across all staff levels. Engage in wellbeing initiatives throughout the business. Ensure accurate data collection and dissemination to relevant stakeholders.
