Are you an experienced Senior IT Support Engineer looking for a fresh challenge? Bonus points if you have experience working for an "MSP". At 22 years young, Bespoke Computing Ltd has been working with businesses across the UK to help them make the most of their computer/IT systems.
Our focus is on helping our clients grow their businesses through robust computer systems, quality IT support and tailored advice & consultancy. To fuel our own growth, we are looking for a new Senior IT Engineer to join our growing team.
This is a permanent full-time position, based at our Telford office (TF3 3BQ) with the flexibility of Hybrid working however, you will be required to visit clients at their premises. There is no deadline for this opportunity as we will be scheduling interviews for the right candidates upon application.
Responsibilities
As a Senior IT Engineer, you will be the highest escalation point for our support team and responsible for resolving complex and challenging issues. You will also work on projects, and be responsible for the implementation of IT solutions for our clients.
From the kit you see on your desk, the infrastructure that links it together, Cloud-based services like Microsoft 365 and a full-service communications offer – there is plenty to get your teeth stuck into.
Key Duties
1. Deliver IT Projects: Plan, design, implement, and document IT solutions such as network upgrades, cloud migrations, security enhancements, and system integrations, following best practices and project management methodologies.
2. Provide Advanced Support: Resolve complex issues related to servers, networks, applications, hardware, software, and security for clients.
3. Effective Communication: Communicate updates, reports, and documentation effectively with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle.
4. Proactive Maintenance: Perform proactive maintenance and monitoring of client systems and networks to ensure optimal performance and security.
5. Technical Solution Design: Design and scope technical solutions for sales-based opportunities.
6. Documentation: Maintain and update technical documentation, policies, and procedures.
7. Mentorship: Mentor and train junior engineers and service desk staff.
About you
To succeed in this role, you will have:
1. At least 5 years of proven experience in IT support. Past experience working in a Managed Services Provider is advantageous but not essential.
2. Hands on Experience with SharePoint Migrations, Autopilot rollouts and Microsoft Defender.
3. Knowledge in common technologies like Windows, Microsoft 365, Xen, Linux and networking principles. Certifications are advantageous but not essential.
4. The ability to listen with both ears and communicate sometimes complex subjects in plain-English terms and analogies.
5. Flexibility to travel and occasionally stay overnight.
6. A full UK driving license.
7. Two references.
Although support will be provided to achieve technical certifications, and it is a requirement of the role to work towards these, it would also be advantageous if you have:
1. Any Modern Microsoft Certifications although MS-900, MS-102, AZ-800 or AZ-104 certification are Beneficial.
2. CompTIA A+, Network+ or Security+ certifications.
3. WatchGuard Certifications.
4. 3CX Advanced certification.

1. Starting salary of £40-£55k (dependent on experience).
